Kim Dushinski
Partner

Recognized as the grounding force of MarketAbility (could it be her addiction to index cards?), Kim's impeccable organizational skills are key to our own successful marketing program - website development, trade show and conference participation, advertising design and placement, direct mail coordination, and concept and design of MarketAbility's marketing materials. She participates in Creative Sessions, teaches MAXIMUM EXPOSURE TeleConferences, is in charge of Personnel and Financial Management and has developed many of the systems in place today at MarketAbility.

With true entrepreneurial passion, Kim started MarketAbility for one purpose - to help small businesses more effectively market their products and services. She graduated from the University of Denver with a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts (she was going for pre-law, but decided against it when she opened the phone book and determined that the world had enough attorneys).

Meeting Tami and merging their two companies created a synergy that exploded into a full scope marketing and public relations firm. Since that 1989 beginning, MarketAbility has grown and sharpened their focus on book publicity.

"What I love most about being in the book industry is that moment right before an author or publisher tells me about their book. Try as I might, I never know what they're going to say," Kim says. "I am continually amazed by the fascinating people who are in the world of books, and by the stories they tell."

An avid reader and mountain girl (she's a fifth generation Colorado native), Kim lives in Lakewood, Colorado with her husband Ken, their daughter Anya, and their hamster, Treater. She enjoys camping, hiking and working on her family scrapbooks. Besides climbing Colorado 14ers (Mt. Massive, Quandary Peak and Mt. Democrat) one of the hardest things she's had to do is decide what one book to put down as her favorite.
